Hollie Nicol and her Kitchener-Waterloo team of Danielle Inglis, Kate Hamer and Hilary McDermot won the women’s edition of the Mount Lawn Classic with a 9-5 win over Carrie Lindner of Bradford. Team Nicol defeated Jan Carwardine of Toronto 6-5 in the semifinals by stealing a single point in the extra end. Congratulations to Taylor Mellor and her team for making it to the provincial finals for the Dominion Women’s Club Championship. Team Mellor went undefeated until the extra end of the final game, where they did not have the hammer and were unable to steal the victory.
