Team Mellor makes the final at the Dominion Provincials

Congratulations to Taylor Mellor and her team for making it to the provincial finals for the Dominion Women's Club Championship. Team Mellor went undefeated until the extra end of the final game, where they did not have the hammer and were unable to steal the victory. Team Wooddisse wins Cup Consolation in the Home Hardware

Congratulations to Team Wooddissee on winning the Cup Consolation event in the Home Hardware bonspiel. After losing their first two games, Team Wooddissee won four in a row to take home the title. Job well done by skip Brian Wooddisse, vice Angela Cerantola, second John Deutchlander, and lead Dave McBride. Alternates Jim Renaud and Dave Holt helped out on the last day. Pictures.

Team Nicol prevails at Mount Lawn

Hollie Nicol and her Kitchener-Waterloo team of Danielle Inglis, Kate Hamer and Hilary McDermot won the women's edition of the Mount Lawn Classic with a 9-5 win over Carrie Lindner of Bradford. Team Nicol defeated Jan Carwardine of Toronto 6-5 in the semifinals by stealing a single point in the extra end.
